Chef's TV Studios Planned As Family Attraction
November 12 2003--The new Chef's TV Studios planned for the Eastern Shore of Maryland will be configured to cater to the vacationers and visitors to the region, as well as producing film, television and radio programs based on the culinary arts. The studios will be the anchor for the new Chef's TV, providing economical production facilities. Besides the popular "Weekend Chef" programs, the concept is built around the "Chef's Trilogy" developed by Alan Simpson. These are "Chef's Studio", "Chef's Stage" and "Chef's Workshop" together catering for every facet of culinary programing from international celebrity chefs, to small specialized workshops.
The ideal day out, to be in the audience watching top chefs showcasing their signature dishes, as well as joining in multiple workshops and demonstrations, from barbecue to chocolate confectionery.
The location will draw from Washington, Baltimore, Wilmington, and as far as Philadelphia and New York. The plan is to create multiple use studios, interlinked for demonstrations, tastings, workshops and ongoing exhibits. This will allow the facilities to be optimized for every aspect of food and beverage programs, including demonstrating equipment, tools, recipes, foods, products and every cooking method from outdoor grilling to delicate chocolate designs and sculptures. Adults can participate in the Wine Ed wine education programs, or tastings for VinTV - The World of Wine program.
The concept has been kept under wraps for several months, but the rumors started flying when the close knitted communities started to see the LTN team looking at fields, old buildings, barns and closed plants around the Eastern Shore. When they started to do measurements for satellite dishes, then the buzz really started. Regional chefs, and suppliers see the studio attraction as an ideal way to promote their skills, and products to live audiences, made up of their potential customers. Upcoming chefs, even sales professionals, see it as a way to learn the techniques of presenting on TV, and before an audience. DVD’s and videos of participating Chefs as well as techniques from beginner to expert will be available in the Chef’s Zone, the merchandising area, along with a range of kitchen equipment and supplies.
Interactive studio areas will be available for suppliers to create displays, and demonstrations of their products, to enhance the culinary experience, surrounded by the magic of film and television. It will be an ongoing Food and Wine Festival, where the audience can attend on a date the want, and as often as they want.
LTN, Chef's TV and The Leisure Channel are concepts from Alan Simpson, the global television pioneer, with projects completed in over 60 countries.
